if its a elastic collision
m1>m2
m1vi1+m2vi2=m1Vf1+m2Vf2
m1v1+m2vi2=m1Vf1+m2Vf2
if collision is elastic then
Vf2-Vf1/vi1-vi2=1
vf2-Vf1=vi1-vi2
Vf2=vi1+Vf1-vi2
m1vi1+m2vi2=m1Vf1+m2(vi1+Vf1-vi2)
m1vi1+m2vi2=m1Vf1+m2vi1+m2Vf1-m2vi2
m1vi1+2m2vi2-m1Vf1-m2vi1-m2Vf1=0
Vf1(-m1-m2)-vi1(m2-m1)+2m2vi2=0
Vf1(-m1-m2)=vi1(m2-m1)-2m2vi2
Vf1=vi1(mi-m2)+2m2vi2/(m1+m2)
similarly
Vf2=vi2(m2-m1)+2m1vi1/(m1+m2)
now vi2=0
Vf1=vi1(m1-m2)/(m1+m2)
m1>>m2
Vf1/vi1=m1-m2/m1+m2
so vi1>Vf1
Vf2=2m1vi1/(m1+m2)
Vf2/2vi1=m1/m1+m2
2vi1>Vf2
vi1>Vf2/2

For elastic collision,
V1,i=(m1-m2)/(m1+m2)*V1,i+(2*m2/(m1+m2))*V2,i
If V2,i=0 and M1 and M2 are same then

V1,f=0
for v2,f,
=(2m1/(m1+m2))*v1,i+(m2-m1)/(m1+m2)*V2,i
V2f=v1,i
