Not all African Americans have afros some have natuarally straigh hair, some have hair that isa little coarse, and some have hair that is poofy and curly. Also getting a blond weave isn't called acting white but saying that it is is being racist. Maybe caucasians are the only culture with blond hair and to be correct Beyonce has goldish platinum hair most of the time. And the kind of hair she has sometimes CAN be similar to shades in black hair. How would you like it if I said why do white people do blah blah blah? I hope I didn't offend you and might still get considered for best answer.

You need some facts quickly, before you embarrasses you self :-
1) people are born into a race base on their parentage, they can't change it by change their appearance. (not even M.J. can change his race :)
2) The Black race has many skin colors.(some white skin people come from black parentage) They are the off springs of multiple of races, that includes black.
3) People change their appearances because they want to look special, they don't want to look the same from day to day.
4) ALL races pick up styles from different races for different reasons. That don't mean that they want to be that race, OK.
and finally 5) yes, their are blacks who wish they were white, mainly, because they hunger for the opportunities and the benefits that whites take for granted.(There are many other reasons.)
Good luck honey, and try a black style, it won't change you from being white.

um for one not every black girl has an afro. two, asking why black girls try to look white is like asking why white girls try to look black. plus we try to wear what suits us best. beyonce could have black if she wanted to she doesn't have to have black not every black person has black hair. also why do white girls get fake tans? have you ever asked yourself that question. why do they want to get darker and look like black girls or some mixed girls?

just b/c she's a blonde...doesnt mean she's trying to be white. perhaps she believes that she looks her best with blonde hair. why do white girls cornrow their hair? or get spray-on tans? on booty implants? i think that everyone is just trying to look like what they believe is their personal best!
