My regal had a bad catalytic converter it's 2001 model. That causes skips because the exhaust completely backs up...My converter was blocking the exhaust...After checking the spark wires condition and exhaust. Try b-12 fuel ingection cleaner, only at part supply stores

We were having a similar problem with our Buick LeSabre, the engine kept skipping and we used injector cleaner several times. It turned out to be the spark plug wires, we replace the plugs and the wires and it stopped skipping.

A little more info would be nice like year and engine and the number of miles. Just at idle or when accelerating? When it's cold hot?
A miss should show some evidence on the plugs.
Off hand I would rule out electrical first even though you state you have had a tune up (what did it include?) before jumping to fuel related and sensors.
