How does learning about the Western Tradition help us to understand our modern world and ourselves?

That's interesting, because where I come from (the world of magick and witchcraft, esoterica, etc.), that specifically refers to the secret societies like the Masons and Rosicrucians. And learning about them helps you with everything, because it is basically a process of self-discipline. The reason these traditions have lasted so long is that they make you a better person, all around. You begin to make decisions in a rational, self-controlled way, analyzing the implications for the things that are important to you, and taking responsibility for everything you do.

your too nice~america can lead but it can't win~the system just doesn't clear this path quick enough to resolve the finncial embarrassment of 6 million of us back home going with out so big brother can lead where no one in the right mind would fallow~the rules have changed~where once stood towering intend lays the smothering ruins of our future ground up as bands aids to throw out to third world countries like we don't need it back home to save our own world, try to imagine born in the best country in the world here in america everything is fine~or was it? no one really looks too close, it is out of style to admit how many people suffer with their pride and dignity to over come the adversity of the meaning of western tradition~here in this country the wonderful victories of war never brought the spoils of it~it was always too little too late.if there is a bright side to this world it would have to be the computer in front of you~it will be the way for you to achieve a brillant mind and save more of the infromation to make more infromation, we couldn't do that in the old days with out stepping on the bosses toes because they needed us to get where they wanted to go and then they would dump us before the curtain call~so today with the computer it offers more understandings of what has already transpired~we are now in a vertical economy and that is unsustainable or even achievable if it wasn't for corruption and that is the equation of corrupted progress, it looks better from your distance than it does up close

hello.. i love to ask back,why we must learn western tradition to understand our modern world n ourselves? you r an asian, not west guy or gurl . our tradition absolutely diffrent with the west .Do the west tradition are enough modern? could you please check it back? if u want ur country , get more modern , more thecnologies, more good than the west .. try to hard ur self . be such a good man,hardworking and dicipline... donate ur energy for ur country..gud luck!
