You are correct: only a married person can commit adultery. The unmarried woman (or man) would be a fornicator in an adulterous affair.
But whatever you want to call it, it's a bad thing to be involved in, regardless if you're the adulterer or the fornicator. It will only end in heartache, anger, bitterness and regret for all parties.
Tell your friend to RUN away as fast as he/she can from the situation. A little pain now saves a world of hurt later.

Well, I would say the person who is married carries the greater burdon of fault, however the unmarried person still shares in the guilt if they knowingly participate in the relationship under such circumstances. As a side note; Women know they have a certain degree of power over a man and should realize men are generally weak when it comes to female advances. In short, play it safe & respect one self and the marriage of the other. Best of luck.

I think you`d find in that case its the man who is commiting adultery......as in the eyes of the law he is married....the woman would only be named in the papers(divorce ones i mean)

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. This website will show you how to save a marriage and avoid divorce, even if you're the only one trying https://tr.im/VtHvK

He is.
Are there kids in this equasion?
I'd usually say live and let live, as long as its what they both want but if he has kids that woman is going to be known as the 'b*tch that stole my daddy' for the rest of her life.
If he wants to leave his wife then he should do it - not just because of some woman - he neednt 'create' a reason he just needs to do it.
But if he doesnt leave his wife and the woman keeps on seeing him anyway then I agree with the others - shes a cheap wh*re.

You have to be married to commit adultery ,so he would be the quilty party.
However, she can get into trouble as well being named as the co-respondent, in a divorce case.

It's all the same for both. He can lose a lot more than she can, but in some states the wife can sue the other woman. Then she can end up poor with a cheater that will probably cheat on her.

you are tempting the man to commit adultery. you are responsible for his sinning. you would be the snake in the garden of eden....your are the devil who tried to tempt Jesus....you are destroying a sacred relationship therefore you are worse than the adulterer as you are destroying what the Lord has put together. you are the harlot in revelations.
