hi there, i am starting a business creating proffesional photo videos, using music and placing photos in order, then selling to customer who owns the photos, this could be used for birthday parties, say an 18th, and its played at their party, or to help promote small businesses, does this sound good to you, and would £25-£40 for this service seem fair? I am also looking for a good name, best name=best answer award!

Picture Perfect Productions a.k.a. PP Productions - sounds like a great and affordable business concept. Good Luck!

This is a good concept that is very popular with wedding photos after a wedding as a memory or a story line using pics of each person and how they met that gets played (before) or at the wedding. Family Reunions, birthdays, wedding anniversary, etc are all good occasions that people may use this service too. I would hook up with a few wedding photographers and offer this service at a split profit and also get full profit when people just bring their own pics to you. People will want to pick their own songs so be prepared. As for a name...mmmm Memory Magic, Memory Maker, Joyful Journeys, Original Productions, Life Occasions, Vision Image, etc....We have a wedding DVD of some of our pics and we love it. Good Luck. :0)

Sounds like a great idea, and a price that's very affordable, I would be very interested in purchasing a photo video at that price.
I like the P P Productions as a name. You'd have to add a bit more info to the title somehow to let the client know what your selling eg. bring your photos to life,or This is Your Life...your very own Red Book.Video
Good Luck

Why should people buy a product that they can easily make with something like iMovie for free or a company could easily do with Powerpoint?

Also have you looked into the cost of the music - people won't want to hear 'production' music - they will probably want their favourite tunes featured - which costs in copyright fees, etc, to use.

The concept is good, but, like the Dragons Den say, you need to sit down and look at the long-term and do a lot of market research.

Anyone who is willing to attempt a business venture is fair play in my opinion. Nothing ventured, nothing gained so they say.
Good idea! It sounds like it could work for many occasions including weddings, christenings, businesses, university students may like to use your service to present their seminar projects. Would it not be better to present these pictures on dvd? Videos are being phased out aren't they? You could also present them on disk for the p.c. eh? Just some ideas.

As for the name....how about 'Evocations?'
To evoke: bring or call to the conscious mind. To elicit a response. Many authors present descriptions that evoke a picture in the mind. I am sure that you would like to think that your produced pictures elicit a positive response, so that your customers like your work and want to purchase your product!
Whatever you choose, it would be interesting to hear what it is.
Good Luck in your venture!
