I have two hard drives both WD one primary sata and a secondary ide the ide from time to time just up and literally disapears, can't be found anywhere my computer ..... explorer... manager its just gone untill I reboot and its back. I have already ran all the wd drive test on it and it shows to be fine.... any ideas??

Well let's see. Configuarion conflicts between the SATA and IDE hard drives. Bios configuration. Maybe something as simple as the IDE or SATA cable.

could be your IDE or SATA cable but it also could be your jumper settings the jumpers are located on the back of the HD there little gold pins u have to set the right jumper 4 2 HD

according to the paperwork on my mobo you cannot run both sata and ide, it will cause all sorts of bother and is bad for mobo

It's probably just a glitch. When you want to save something, go to browse, and look for it there.
