Hi, I would suggest a bath and herbal tea. Alternately, if you have Nyquil or a cold medicine designed for night-time use, that would work well. Or a very good but not-stimulating book.
Long term I would suggest reading the book: "Say Goodnight To Insomnia," by Gregg Jacobs, I have suffered from insomnia in the past and this book changed my life.
Most of all, relax! If you have too much energy right now and that is the culprit, a quick run or walk around the block might relieve some of the stress and energy. Dr Jacobs explains in his book how insomnia is perpetuated by the anxiety of HAVING insomnia more than anything other factor...

Count sheep!... no I'm just kidding, try something non technological like reading a book, drinking a warm cup of tea, or get into a really comfortable spot in your bed. That usually works!

When I can't sleep, I get a handheld game like yahtzee.. something easy to play.. lay on my side with a pillow between my arms and play until I fall alseep. (usually about 4 minutes, lol) The only drawback is now I can't play the games without falling alseep.

I usually close my eyes and imagine I'm scuba diving through a coral reef. It's a way to free my mind from thoughts that cause anxiety.

Have sex or masturbate. You should feel relaxed afterwards and more inclined to go to sleep. If not, at least you got off.
