My husband and I have just moved to a new state to live with the in-laws. Its great because their house is huge and we pretty much get our own half of the house, two bed one bath. We had this wonderful plan worked out on jobs, money and buying our own house and car. But that plan died. I was supposed to look for a job first since my husband has the car and I have none. I was going to work for the first pay check and then we were going to buy a car with the money we have saved up. Only thing is I can't get a freaking gosh dang job! I am so angry! I have been snapping at my husband and not been able to eat or sleep. I have tried soooo hard to get a job and there is no way in hell that I am going to work with food ever again! So I was wondering if anyone knew any tips on how to get a job. Nothing big just in a clothing store or something. We are young and still have to go to college so there is no type of education I can use as ammon to get a good job. I need help its making me depressed.

First thing you need to do is evaluate your priorities, because the way I'm understanding things your priorities are in this order.

1: Your pride
2: Your husband's opinion of you
3: Getting a job

If you truly valued getting a job over the other two I listed, you would not be refusing to work with food. Nobody ever said you have to STAY there, but it's a lot easier to get a job if you have a job. Start at the bottom and claw your way up if you have to, but your priority right now shouldn't be getting your dream job, just getting ANY job. Prove that you're hirable--that's all you need to do.

Well an ok paying job coming up is phones/tech help for h&r block, since tax season is comin up and all.. I bet they would have something on their website. It is a seasonal position... but I'm pretty sure they hire entry-level. And h&r block is everywhere isn't it? My ex worked there n did college at the same time.. just a suggestion.

Did you try getting registered with a Job Bank???? Also polish your resume and get some tips about handling interviews and etc. You can get ideas and good tips from the net itself!! Try approaching the clothing stores and before you do get to know about them and observe them and impress your interviewer!!

Don’t be depressed or give up. I am sure your time will come soon!!!!!!

Try all the temporary agencies in your area. Usually you can find work right away through them. Good luck.

Well, make sure that your insurance is all paid up on him. You did say it was killing him? That way, you won't be left bereft. LOL!
