I feel worried and sorry that computers will probably take over most of our tasks in the next 40-50 years...... sad because

....computers will bring much more consistency and certainty in our life which will make our life boring and unenthusiastic.

....we would be left with too much free time and as we know well enough, idle mind is the dwelling house of the devil himself.

As a carpenter I'd have to say never because I've never know any computer to swing a hammer. As an artist I'd rather paint it myself and as a musician I'd rather play it myself. Some things only get accomplished with people and that is a good thing. The computer industry has put many people out of work.

computers will have a greater influence in people's lives but i don't think it will completely take over. I think someday (maybe after 50 years or more) people will feel the impact of computers in their everyday lives and they will again want to revert back to human stuff. Just imagine if everything is computerised, then people will feel bored. It's just like bringing back the old fashion.

I don't think ever, so long as solid forms of transferring media (like cds) are more secure and/or durable than selling data over the internet.
