I don't live in the US anymore so I don't always stay up to date on new movie releases but I just got back from winter vacation and noticed on the plane the two very stupid cartoons... one with a bear and dear and the other with cows as the main characters.... both so stupid! Then I think of Over the Hedge, Brother Bear, Madagascar, the stupid movie disney came out with that looked like it had the same animals as Madagascar, just done all over again (huh?) What happened..... did political correctness do this to us? are other dumb animal cartoons safe now? some kind of psychology in switching to all animals? story lines with people aren't "in" anymore? What's the deal??

you get me wrong....I'm not saying that it's bad to make animal movies... I'm just saying why are they ALL animals these days... what happened to heroes and heroines being people... the last cartoon movie with a human heroine I can remember was Mulan.... am I forgetting some?

Well the animal movies are popular with kids and there a fresh idea for a long time so everyone tries em see if thier good or not so all the move makeing companies jump on the animated bandwagon i wouldnt be surprised if this kinda of move will lose its popularity in a few years and plus he kids winge like ehck to watch the movies have u eveer witnessed a winging kid?

Talking animals appeal to children...If you can make a better movie for a child, then by all means do it, if you just feel like b*tching about the entertainment industry, there's really no point. Child entertainment is here to stay. Try watching flicks more geared towards your age group.

Because families pay millions total to see them. Moms love taking their little kiddies to see talking fish. It's all economy.
What I think is hilarious is when parents consider these movies 'educational'. When do cars interract with eachother like human beings, and when do penguins get together for dance-offs in antarctica?

hahhahaha you're ****** funny haha but yea, children loves animal and disney are not the only one that are making animal movies. different companies are making animal movies too so therefore it might seem like it's the same damn animal in from that movie and so on. but yea, it's not for you and you might find it stupid but for kids, they love it.

G rated films gross the most money compared to how much they cost to make. This is because - all ages can see it and parents have to sit through it with their kids - arg.....
I agree completely though - it is doing my head in too!!!

because they make alot of money, and they are for the kids! you dont have to watch them okay! Over the headge was great, most of those are and I would rather have my kids watch that than everything else that's out there.
