Ugh, I was on the shot November 2005 for only 3 months. I got my first period in January, and it was realllly heavy. It lasted roughly about 3 weeks. Then i didnt get one for almost the entire year of 2006, was on no birth control then i just had my 1st period just this past november ( 06). Im trying to have a baby with my husband... jsut start trying. So im not really sure. My periods are still very irregular.. seeing that ive only had two since i got off the depo over a year ago. I still havent started yet, and i just took a test and it came up negative, sadly. But im still trying. I have been told both things, that yes you can become pregnant with no period... and also been told no you cannot become pregnant. But either way I just started trying even though mine are not regular yet. The shot really messed up my body, my horomones and everything else. How long ago did youg et off of it? Good luck to you!!!!

Honey, my husband and I have been having unprotected sex for the past 18 months (since I came off of Depo) and I'm not pregnant yet...it is different for everyone and according to Depo Provera, it takes an average of 10 months for both a normal cycle to return AND for pregnancy to occur after the first missed injection of the drug. My guess, if you're anything like me and most of the women I know who have used Depo, you'll be in for quite a long haul...How long has it been? Have you had a period yet? (Not a bleed, a period...my first bleed, which occurred about 6 months later, lasted for 3 weeks...my first period-like bleed happened about 2 months later...they've become more and more regular since then and I believe that in the past 2, possibly 3 months I've been ovulating)

I was on the depo shot for three years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant in 11 months.

Depo-Provera is not a good choice if you want to be pregnant in the next year or two. Why? Because it typically takes 9 to 10 months to become pregnant after you stop taking Depo-Provera as a contraceptive. It could even take up to 24 months after discontinuing use of Depo-Provera for you to become pregnant. The length of time you use Depo-Provera has no effect on how long it takes you to become pregnant.

Well you have to wait for your periods to come back if you didnt have them while on it. I didnt. I got mine back the first month I was off and then got pregnant on my 3 period after depo. I should say I had 3 periods and then was pregnant. My best friend was on depo for 5 years and got pregnant right after she stopped taking it. So I guess it depends on when your body begins ovulating regular again.

Some women get pregnant right off the depo shot and some have to go to a specialist to get pregnant.

the in consumer-friendly words chance linked with getting a tattoo and being pregnant is the opportunity of an infection. If the tattoo artist doesn't comprehend what they're doing and in case you do not keep the tattoo sparkling even as it truly is healing, you'll get an infection. yet except that, it truly is no longer risky to get a tattoo even as attempting to get pregnant or if you're already pregnant. some tattoo artists get paranoid about this and could each so often refuse to tattoo you if it truly is the case.

Each body is different, and depends on how long you have been on it.
so just take it easy and relax and try not to panic about things, it will happen in its own time, you should set yourself a limit and then go and get a fertility check once reached.
good Luck

The depo shot can stay in your system for up to a year because it is a fat soluble drug---it is stored in your fat cells as opposed to water soluble drugs. It just depends on how your body metabolizes the shot.
