Why when the right thing comes along in life and you want it so bad is it so hard to do what you have to?

There is something that I've always wanted in my life and I've found it. Problem is it seems so far away and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to make it possible to be where I should be to have what I've always wanted. I really believe I could be really happy as could other people involved in the situation. What would you do if this was your situation?

Because of not being able to leave the state and because of other issues in my life I can't go after what I want out of life. I take care of someone who I promised I wouldn't give up on and I have to think about a child too. I'm an emotional wreck because I have no one else to talk to but the walls and my step daughter, whom I did a lot for since the age of 14, and has a baby now. won't let me or her father see our grandson. It's hard living in the same town with family members who have just had babies and won't let you see them because you run into them constantly at the stores and flea markets. Then they just turn and walk away like they don't even know who the hell you are, even though, you have appologized over and over again for what ever it is that you did wrong to them and you don't even know what it is. Wait until the time is approprate to go for it, and then do it.....do put yourself in other peoples shoes though....how would you feel if this was being done to you?
