Eddie Murphy has been in the comedy business for about 30 years. His best work was in the 80s with SNL and stand up comedies like Delirious and Raw. He continued with his succes into the 90s, primarily in movies, Boomerang and the Nutty Proffessor, amongts others. He is still very much involved by providing his voice and his humour as the Donkey in the Shrek series. I don't think for a minute that he is overrated, I think he's a very talented comedian and a pioneer opening the door to future comedians
