No, you're just NOT funny.
Are you an aussie or a chav???
I bet you have bad teeth. Trust me Americans would rather have access to a dentist and oral hygine than retarded british humor.

I think you should refrain from stereo typing Americans. From what I have seen we have people from different age groups and from different ethnic backgrounds attempting to crack jokes and write. Many of them are beginners and children. Think about the last statement and then continue to judge. As we all know some people are good at telling jokes and others are not, some jokes require expression and some jokes require interaction. My advice would be to lighten up a bit and look for the subject matter that suits your liking.

I'm going to assume this one isn't meant as one of those joke questions.
I think people answer joke questions because they either have nothing better to do (like me, I'm rather bored at the moment) or it's just part of modern societal upbringing. If you haven't had the oppurtunity to recognize (not saying that I'm expecting you to have) a lot of the ideas of common knowledge have been eliminated in American society as they seem to be attached with discrimination and closed mindedness to other cultures somehow. So your average American who's answering a joke question might be doing it because they weren't taught not to.

The British have what is known as 'Gallows Humour'
No one else on the planet can ever understand the British sense of humour.
..something like..
Saddam went down for a long stretch.
Or....Saddam got a suspended sentence.
Think about it people...lol

Yes, we Brits are the only ones that understand irony, humour, and sarcasm. I'm sure everyone else in the world gets really tired of hearing that. I know I do.
Plenty of Americans give brilliant answers, and plenty of Brits give shite ones. If you read a good answer, you probably have to check where the person is from before giving yourself permission to laugh,
You are narrow-minded and self-righteous.

I think you need to come to terms, that everyone is different and you should let it rest. Americans have a wicked sense of humour. But, we aussies also have a wicked sense of humour to :P just say "Bugger" and get over it!

You need to specify that something is a joke. Since this is a computer, we can't hear your tone or inflection. It is easier to get offended online than in real life because of basic misunderstanding of intent--clarification is essential in online communication.
I'm not exactly proud of America, but I don't like generalizations about us since I don't tend to fit them!

To assume that every American is one way makes you stupid. You shouldn't stereotype. I enjoy a good laugh as much as you would.

no - they are no more stupid than British people (i am British). the only difference is cultural, and how the media portray them. as for their sense of humour, i have a few American friends, and they all understand my sense of humour perfectly well..... ok, some Americans don't get English sarcasm & our dry sense of humour, but most of them do, especially the younger generation. u really shouldn't stereotype people like this...... everyone has their faults..... no one is perfect, and that includes you !
