If your wife is regular contributor of short stories to publishing house or staff member, the income is good for the family. aAbout song writing? If she has connection with the producer, the better. If she is making a break and without other income, forget all about it. Because writing falls under art (which livelihood is suited for those who could provide themselves enough food, clothing, and other basic necessities.
