My period started on December 28th and was normal. During the evening yesterday (January 6th), I found some blood on my underwear when I went to the restroom and it got slightly heavier until about 3 in the morning. At first, it was pinkish, but then turned red as if it was my period. Today (January 7th), there was hardly any blood left. Whatever there was today was brownish, which I'm assuming means yesterday's blood dried in me and now was working its way out. Yesterday before I noticed the blood, I was playing roughly with my boyfriend which involved a lot of stretching. Initially, I thought maybe I stretched myself on the inside while playing, but I think I bled more than I should have; I bled a bit through my underwear. So why was I bleeding? Was it implantation bleeding? Could the blood be due to stress and lack of sleep? Also when I ovulate, I normally get cramps that alternate sides every month. I don't expect to ovulate until January 10 or 11 and I haven't had cramps yet.

implantation bleeding usually occurs anywhere from 6-12 days after you conceive.. or when you were ovulating which is about 2 weeks after your last period. so basically implantation bleeding wouldn't normally occur until 3 weeks after your last period. implantation bleeding is when the fertilised egg attaches itself to the lining of the uterus. therefore its definitely not implantation bleeding. maybe your just going through hormonal changes due to stress or your eating habits. but good luck to you

I don't believe it can be implantation bleeding as this should be some days after ovulation. Sometimes ovulation can cause bleeding and although this in a normal 28-day cycle would around day 14, you could be ovulating slightly early. More probable, though, is that your body may be having some hormonal changes. Never underestimate the effects of stress.

If you're worried, maybe mention it to a doctor. Definitely do so if it happens again.

Good luck

I had implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy. When I went to the toilet and wiped it was pinkish, jelly like(sorry, sounds gross) I thought the worst and called my midwife. I was sent to my local hospital, the early pregnancy department. I had a scan, the baby was only showing as a small blob but I was told I was 5 weeks pregnant and this is when implantation bleeding occurs as the baby is attaching its self.
Bleeding is bleeding and if you are definitely pregnant you need medical advise. Call the GP or midwife now.
Good luck xx

You may want to check with your doctor, you may possibly have a cyst that is causing the pain, and abnormal bleeding

every contraception works different on different people. ive been on jab for 10mths and not had one period. when i was on the pill -i conceived. its prob normal. if this continues then go to your gp. this form of contraception might not be for you and may need to think about another form.
