Unless you really really know what they are, don't do it.
Mushroom poisoning is very nasty and often fatal. Even "experts" get fooled some times.

See an article on mushroom poisoning in wikipedia first. Next, try to compare your mushroom with the pictures in wikipedia and other sites on edible mushrooms. If in doubt ask at your local garden center, but do not eat. Make sure no children and pets eat the mushroom. Even when you are sure that this mushroom is edible, cook it well and taste a tiny amount only. Wait 48 hrs. If no adverse reaction occurs proceed further, but please keep in mind that cooking or any other method of preparation does not help to decrease the toxicity of the poisonous mushrooms. Good luck.

Do not under any circumstance eat mushrooms growing in the back yard, even if you're starving to death. Death may be the result.
You really have to know what it is you're picking before even considering eating them. If you are seriously interested in gathering wild mushrooms, see if there is a collective of enthusiasts in your area and learn from them. Otherwise eat only the ones you buy in the market that are proven safe and edible.

there are only two types of mushrooms you should eat. the ones bought in stores. and the ones that grow in cowshit. those are the fun ones ;)

NEVER eat a mushroom if you don't know the species. Some can kill you.

Don't do it. They may look the same, but they are not. If you do eat them you would be taking a handful of poison!!!!

Its too risky, I would remove them to prevent posioning to young children and pets. Only eat what you buy from the store.
