I do not think it is illegal to go out with your boss. If you guys like each other, why not? Don't be afraid

No, there's no law stating that you can or cannot go out with your Boss. However, do bear in mind about the consequences if you do date your Boss.

If your co-workers knows about your intimate relationship, gossips will be hot. There will also be such cases whereby your co-workers might think you're dating your Boss to get a high promotion the quick way. Another possible case is that your co-workers might think that your Boss is being biased whenever you do well in presentations. They won't recognised you for your hardwork efforts but because of your relationship with your Boss.

Secondly, sometimes it might be awkward for you and your Boss to be working in the same company, let alone the same department, during a serious relationship. Remember work and personal issues do not mixed.

So, you can date your Boss. Just don't let your co-workers knows about it. Keep your relationship a secret!

There are no laws against dating your boss or anyone else for that matter, unless someone's underage or you're being pressured into it.

As to whether or not it's allowed/accepted depends on the company you work for as most business have some sort of fraternization policy in place.

If no policy is in place, it's up to you. Be advised it may be frowned upon by co-workers and you have to take into consideration what happens if/when you break-up. Talk about an awkward work environment, not to mention the potential sexual discrimination allegations that could unfortunately pop-up in this litigious society of ours.

It's not illegal, however, some businesses have rules that a boss and employee cannot date or see each other outside of the office.

not illegal, but it's not a good idea to date bosses or co-workers. if the job is important to you, and things end badly, then your job can be in jeopardy. if your co-workers find out, then it could present new problems (like, "she's sleeping her way up to the top", etc, even if it's not true). be careful. it's only illegal if you are a minor.

It is not illegal, but it may be unwise. What if your personal life with your boss goes bad and your boss is hard on you at work.

no it's not illegal but if people figure out, you will be probably treated as a dirty person and practially shunned by the whole company. Think through this decision before you try to pursue forward

Not illegal but unethical and possibly grounds for termination of one or both of you. It's a conflict of interest and yes, people will find out about it.

Only if he's married. (Or if you are). But many places have specific policies about that. If I were you I would find out exactly what the policy is first before anything progresses.
