some people may not understand how much work your achivents really take, you should talk to other people who have experience with what ever it is that you do. if u'r a musician other musicians will be a better judge of your talent then a listener who isn't a musician. as long as you take pride in your achievments it doesn't really matter.

I will assume that when you are speaking in the third voice and in reference to yourself. Many people have challenges set before them, and during the challenging stages they question their abilities and often feel that the goal or objective is impossible. This causes stress and your primary goal is to eliminate this stress. Once the stressful event is over you are no longer stressed and reflect on the event and tell yourself it wasn't as difficult as you thought. What this prepares you for are future tasks or challenges. This is a good thing, because if you think about the challenge of having a child i.e. gestation, cramps, swelling, birthing, if things were perceived as impossible, after one child many mothers would give up. In one study looking into whether or not mothers would have additional children after having had a newborn, immediately afterwards the reply was no. However after a few days with the child and time to recover, many more said they would. So while challenges will continue to exist in life, for the most part they will seem less challenging or difficult once the task and time have elapsed.

"Sour grapes is the false denial of desire for something sought but not acquired; to denigrate and feign disdain for that which one could not attain. This metaphor originated from the fable The Fox and the Grapes by Aesop, where the protagonist fox fails to reach some grapes hanging high up on a vine, retreats, and says that the grapes are sour anyway."
hehehe....its a phenomenon thats been around for a long time.

A sigh of relief. That thank goodness we got through it. It's not that it wasn't difficult. Most of the time it is. After the fact it's over and we look back at our accomplishments I think i'ts stupid to even think that I couldn't do it. For me that's how I feel when I have to face something I fear like public speaking.

Crab mentality. Observe how crabs pull the other crabs that get ahead so very few get out of the fisherman's basket. The idea is to keep moving, never look back and never stay long in the same path.

Unfortunately, I think it's just people's way of egging you on to go even further. They don't realize if you don't stop and enjoy the moment, why on earth would you want to keep going? You'll never be satisfied.
