Well there are a few ways to check. One method is to go to control panel then click on "system" then go to the device manager then look in the display section when u see a "+" then click on it to expand then you will see the model of the graphic card. If you know the model then you should get the idea if your graphic card is a AGP or PCI-Express. Then the other method is that you see the CPU got paste any sticker to state the type of the components in the computer. If there is then you should be able to know if it has a AGP slot. The other method is to go to compaq website to see if the model is available or not. These are the few methods you can look into for answers.

There are four ways to find this out:
Option (2) is a good bet.
1)I think, assuming you have Windows, that you find this information without opening up your computer.
If you have windows XP go to the start menu, "All programs," then accessories, then system tools, then system information. This should lead you to it.
2)Or for most computers, including XP, you can find this out another way by going to the start menu and then control panel, then open "system," then click the tab at the top labelled "hardware," then "Device Manager" button. This should list all the hardware on your computer. PCI bus or anything similar in a subcategory or system device category should indicate a PCI slot.
The last ways are:
3. Open up your computer
4. Look up your PC model online

the video card slots are usually the ones closest to the processors. a PCI express slot looks a little like the PCI slot but its a bit longer and an AGP slot would usually be colored brown..
According to the specs of your computer on the HP site your computer doesn't have a PCI express slot or AGP slot.

It will have a slot in the side to fit something about as wide as a credit card. Look for it, if its not there you dont have one.
