ITALY: Rome, Venice, Vicenza, Florence, Pisa, Tirrenia, Livorno
Italy is awesome. Somewhere I had always dreamed of seeing. I love it there. Rome and Venice were my favorite. Rome has so much to see, Venice has alot of shopping. Don't take a gondola, it's too expensive.

SPAIN: Costa Brava, Lloret de Mar, Barcelona
Spain was so much fun. We went for Spring break. The beaches are rocky but beautiful. Barcelona is interesting, busy but interesting. Lot's to see. There is a spot on top of the hill where you can look out over the city. It is great. And there was a guy playing the ocarina up there. I loved it. I bought his CD. Check out the medieval times dinner show type place. It is just outside of Barcelona in a castle. Lots of fun.

FRANCE: Paris, only.
I liked Paris. We went for Valentines Day. I didn't care that they were rude. We did our own thing. Climbed the Eiffel Tower and took a Seine River Cruise. I enjoyed it.

GERMANY: Everywhere.
I lived here for almost 4 years. My favorite is Garmisch. It is in the Bavarian Alps. It is so peaceful and comforting. We sat in our outside hot tub, underneath the mountains. I'll never forget.

AUSTRIA: Innsbruck
Hills, hills and hills. Sound of Music time like 1000. But beautiful.

ENGLAND: Dover, London
London is my favorite place in the world. We spent New Years in London. The best time of my life. The tube is awesome. The food is great. I want to live here. Expensive but great. Dover is beautiful. The cliffs are not as I had imagined. But historical. We took the ferry over from Calais, France.

Paris is nice. Great cafes, and good wine. The French are not rude, but basic French skills will be helpful! I have lived there and have visited many times, since I moved back to Wisconsin.

Prague is the most beautiful city I have ever been to. Alot of culture, great beer, and very nice people. The language is not that hard to learn either. Just got back.

Budapest-people were rude, food is so so. But nightlife is fantastic. Went last summer.

Amsterdam has the Van Gogh museum, which is really interesting and the people were great. Spent two days there, that is all I needed, a very small city.

Milan is really nice, but very expensive. Oh and bring a map for this city.

Romania. I have been all over Romania, and this country is a total gem. The country side is beautiful, the language is similar to French and Italian, people are very friendly. Lots to see and do in almost every city.

Now, let's see!

United Kingdom

England: London is the touristic heaven of the country even though it can get really tiresome if you decide to live there for a long time. Use it wisely for clubbing around Hoxton Square, Farrington and the West End. If art is your addiction, then there are numerous museums with no entrance fee. Avoid visiting during weekends as they get very crowded with families (guess what?!) tourists! For a posh view of the city, head west, but mulitculturism resides east. One of my favourite activities in London is strolling along the "deserted" Square Mile (City of London) on a Saturday or Sunday night.

Wales: I'd heard a lot of good things about Cardiff but when I visited the place it sucked! Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the people on the streets (very dodgy faces!), maybe the Castle that was overly expensive and uninteresting... when visiting Wales you better put your hiking boots on and head for Pembrokeshire, and the West Coast. Stay over a country cottage and enjoy the warm hospitality of the locals.

Scotland: Edinburgh is a "must" to see if you visit the Island! A city that came out of a fairytale, indulge yourself in a Scottish breakfast and some haggies! Don't forget to bring a couple of extra-warm clothes!

Spain:

Barcelona: Of course! If you are a party animal, that's where you should be finding yourself! Chilled out atmosphere in the Barcelonetta and great bars in La Rambla! Even if you've never heard of Gaudi before, admire his vision to turn the city into a jewel! Meet a lot of people! Locals and visitors alike are very open and friendly!

Sevilla: Alcazar, what a divine creation! The weather is hot there, and people tend to do crazy things. I had a 70-year-old pervert following me around for an hour!

France:

Paris: A beautiful city, not as buzzing as London, but more artistic. People tend to ignore you if you speak English to them, but some basic French might have a better outcome. Explore Bastille, very nice restaurants and bars!

Carcassonne: The closest experience to time-travel I had so far! The city remains unchanged since Medieval times and during the summer festivals people dress up in medieval costumes as well! Worth the visit if you travelling on the southern part of France.

Germany:

Berlin: The architectural design heaven of Europe. Maybe it's the reaction to the communist state architecture; massive volumes of concrete rising out of nowhere in the east part of the city! Visit the new Parliament building and the best thing to do is rent a bicycle and cycle through the city, it's literally flat!

Munich: Even though Octoberfest is an experience on its own, especially the opening and closing days, Munich has more to offer! My favourites places are Odeonplatz and Schwabing, where you can have the best paella ever! Also, Munich is a great connecting city, as it's located in the heart of Europe!

Austria:

Wien: you should be wearing a dinner-suit before you step foot on this city. Everyone and everything seem very elegant and you kinda feel sad that you are only wearing your jeans..!

Italy:

Well, Italy has so many things that it'd take me days to write. Rome, Venice, Firenze, Lake Garda, Tuscani, all of Northern Italy is amazing. Perfect weather too! If you are a first time visitor in Europe, look no further!

Greece:

Try to avoid the big cities! Go to the islands instead. Or if you fancy a bit of nature, go to the north-west part of the mainland (Epeiros). If you want to try different tastes, visit Thessaloniki. If you feel lazy, feel at home in the island of Ikaria. If you feel religious, try Tinos. Party hard at Mykonos. Take your partner for some sunset watching in Santorini. Windsurf in Mulos. All in all, go island-hopping!

Rome is nice and has lots of history. Lots to do, includind the Vatican. Use this opportunity to travel Italy, too.

Amsterdam is nice and has lots of whores and weed. If that's your "thing".

Germany (Bavaria) has lots of scenery. The Alps have lots of skiing, depending on when you go.

Paris blows chunks. French are rude, especially at the Eiffel Tower. The Louvre is nice, though. The Mona Lisa is a letdown. Really small...

I lived in England for 3 years. Scotland is nice, especially Loch Ness and Stirling. London is crowded and expensive, but otherwise nice. You can take the tube in from the outskirts and walk around downtown to everything. I don't suggest driving, especially since it's the wrong side of the car and road.
