If you maintain a good site, with all the details, it would be very useful for the baby in the feature to cherish about, and also currently you can share your photo with friends and family around the world over a click, so anytime, when they are free, and wanted to know about your baby, all that they need to visit your site. similar to http://www.meyshan.com or http://www.spicyexpress.net/gallery/
Cons.
As internet is as good as bad, you baby photo could be in the wrong hands including porn guys, and black mailers, where you need to be careful about.

I would not advise posting anything that could be tracked back to you. Call me paranoid, but there's a creepy side to the Internet. It should be fine if the system requires a password to view the data.

a definate pro would be if the origninals got lost or destroyed, you would easily have a back up. They are easy to share with relatives that live far away from you. I can´t think of any cons.
