If not, is the media exaggerating public disapproval? If so, why he so deaf to the public outcry against it? I honestly want to understand this.

There is consensus in public opinion.

He is deaf to the public because (1) he doesn't like what the public is saying, (2) cannot admit he made an error, and (3) doesn't know what to do next.

He doesn't care what we think, and he doesn't have to because he's safely in office until the end of his term (unless Congress impeaches him).

Bush is actually disliked a great deal among most Americans and is seen as an arrogant, lunaitc, dictator who will do whatever he can to help those in big business-such as Halliburton. He doesn't care about polls or disapproval because he has been allowed to do whatever he wants without consequences. I say we throw out the old government and get a new one.

The US government has attack dog mentality. The people who oppose such aggresive traits in their leaders are regarded with disdain by it`s supporters. US international policy has got to be the worst piece of bullying ever undertaken by a so called civilized nation. It`s an obscenity.

He does not care what people think! He has an agenda and unless someone really twists his arm he is not going to back down from Iraq. Not only that if he could get away with it I think he would attack Iran to get this country into a bigger mess. It is heart breaking to hear about all the civilians and soldiers dying every day!
