I went to the ER today bc i was having tummy pain, well i had a UTI and im pregant, but when they went to see how far along i was it said 0 and the doctor said that meant i could be a week along. Im just so scared that it may be a cyst, but ive had cysts before and have never had a postive pregnancy test! Now im scared that im not pregnant. I know it takes like 3 weeks for the HCG to show up in the blood, so could i really just be a week pregant?? Or you think its just a cyst. I mean i have the sore tender breats and everything. Please Help!!

You could be pregnant! I found out i was pregnant when i was one week as week as well. The US showed nothing and i was horrified but now im 10 weeks and have a healthly looking fetus. Sometimes finding out early is scary because even before a baby gets here you worry. Just stay calm and dont worry because if you are pregnant stress is the worst thing for you. I KNOW harder said then done. I wish you all the best!

I would go by what the doctor said, follow up with your ob/gyn as soon as possible. It doesn't take 3 weeks for HCG to show up in a blood serum test. I believe the ER doctor would know the difference between a cyst and a pregnancy.
Congratulations it sounds to me as if your pregnant. You just happen to have catch it really early. Cysts do not normally cause a positive test.

Did you have an ultrasound? That would be how they could tell that you were pregnant. You might have been having implantation cramps, which would mean you were about a week pregnant. Once the egg is fertilized and implanted is when the hormones start producing. Once the hormones are present in the blood then they can tell with a blood test.

To be honest I have never heard of someone being 1 week along did they say gestational, because that would be the only thing that makes sense to me.
If your not sure wait a few weeks and take a blood test. That's the best advice I can give you.

Even your symptoms sound like you are pregnant. It could very well be. Don't panic though, just wait until the three weeks and take your own. I went to one Dr. and they said I was pregnant, went the next week to start seeing another and they said I wasn't. I was. I had a beautiful little girl who is now sixteen.

the doctors tests are way more sensitive and can show a pregnancy at 2-3 days sometimes.. if you want to double check, get a blood test to test pregnancy... oh, and congradualtions

I didn't think it was possible to detect pregnancy at one week, even in the hospital. Did you let the doctor know about your previous problems?
