There has never been a female NFL head football coach. The closest to a female head football coach have been a number of assistant head coaches at the college level.

The most prominent female football coach I can remember is Carol White, who was the first female assistant coach in Division I-A college football and one of the most knowledgeable kicking coaches in the game.

I don't think that there has ever been one, but half of the time I think that I would do a lot better than some of those coaches can. I think that some of the guys are right... there will probably have to be a female in the NFL first. That is too bad though because some of those teams need a coach that knows what the hell they are doing.

No there has not been a female NFL coach. I think that it might be because no female has ever played at that level before and I have only heard of a couple of females that have played in college before. So if there was a female to have a successful career in the NFL and display a lot of knowledge of the game then maybe it would be possible. Unfortunately this may not happen for a while.

I definitely think a woman could coach NFL. A woman would not stand any of TO's guff. She'd send him to his room to think about his behavior and not let him out until he had repented.

Here's an interesting article I found:

Moms Coaching Football?

The NFL is bringing a women’s touch to coaching... a group of moms in New Orleans is blazing a trail to a new level of parental involvement: becoming youth football coaches. In conjunction with the NFL, the New Orleans Saints have trained 30 moms from New Orleans Parish to coach (and play) football. The moms have completed classroom sessions and on-the-field instruction to learn the basics of football and how to teach the sport.

Mothers in Charge of the Playbook was the idea of Scott Lancaster, the NFL’s Senior Director of Youth Football Programs. He believes that by converting soccer moms into football moms, these women will teach the game in a way that will foster a lasting love, appreciation, and the right values for the sport. The ultimate goal is to tap into this resource and increase the number of female football coaches nationwide.

Yes. Jerry Jones. Seriously to be honest, I'd doubt you will see a female coach in the NFL, till you see a female player. Then when their is an NFL female player, she will be the first coach.

No, not in the NFL.

But, Goldie Hawn pretended to be a female high school football coach named Swoosie Kurtz in the movie Wildcats in 1986.

No. The NFL needs a female coach as much as a fish needs a bicycle.

No, not as long as there isn't any females coaching men's college football at any level. I don't see it happening in my lifetime.
Can you imagine a female coach trying to handle TO?

Mr. Lefry needs to get over himself. I'm a female and I really dig football. Penetrating tight ends, finding the hole and going for it, dropping his balls all over the field, etc. etc. All that and tight pants too! (grinnin')
