Hi there. theres a saying that "the HEART of the car is the engine" true that is. So WHAT is "the HEART of an engine". I've been in the mechanics industry for 20years and figured it out 10 years ago. and I've never meet anybody to this day that cannot answer that question correctly. SO I'm calling out to test the minds of you mechanics out there to see if there's anybody in the world that can answer it correctly. Remember to think about this before you answer it! Ask all your family and friends what they think to see if they might agree with you or what they might think. I will reveal my answer with your answers at the close of 8days from now. you can also submit more answers than one, Good luck for the 10 points.LOL... Regards, 2Tuf4U.

Have to go with the oil pump, circulates the lifeblood of an engine. Block as a skeleton, holds everything togther, pistons and crankshaft is a muscular system, as it moves everything, carb as the lungs, turns air into power, camshaft or computer as a brain, controls most of the workings of the engine.
I guess after thinking about it, i could also go with the cylender heads as the heart as well.

believe it or not this sounds like an straightforward one... sparkling the throttle body. this does not propose empty a can of throttle body purifier in it, this suggests get a can of throttle body purifier and a effective sparkling white rag like an previous t-blouse and get interior there at the same time as preserving the throttle plate open and keep spraying the rag and wiping the throat until eventually it really is sparkling. The goop that collects on the contained in the thottle body is from the oil vapors that get sucked out through way of the PCV valve or breather hose and solidify interior the cooler throttle body like a thick tar and would reason this problem. basically different problem will be a useless gas injector. you may do an OHMS try on each and each and every injector to rule this out. solid success.

I'd have to go with the oil pump...

I'm a mechanic by trade, but not currently doing my specified job... sigh. Oh well...

Although, in a jet engine the heart of it all may be the Oil Pump as well... but the brain would be the fuel control seeing that it regulates so many different aspects of how the engine works...

It needs all of its main components to keep running, so it has no "heart". You may call the engine the heart of the auto, because it needs the engine to function, and can do without some of the other components, heater, radio, chrome, etc.....

Thats simple. the camshaft is the heart of the engine. it dictates head flow, fuel consumption, timing, valve operation charecteristics, engine power band, horse power and tourqe output. without the camshaft the rest of the engine is just a bunch of moving and rosipricating parts.

The hart of an engine has to be the fuel pump, which, pumps fuel to the injectors or carby, then in to the manifold, then goes to cylinders.
