You know, My grandfather told my sisters and I that Birth Control is bad for your heart and now I believe it because my sister lost a friend to those pills. She had been taken them and the pills were messing with her respiratory system and then she had an attack and pasted away.

no but with all birth control it can take a long time for a woman to become pregnant once the control has stopped. Some woman as they get older may not conceive even if they have before when they are younger this is normal and has nothing to do with the pill or anything else just their bodies.

No, birth control will not make you infertile. Some women do have some trouble conceiving after coming off of birth control, but there is no way to link it to the birth control. And there are many other reasons that can cause those troubles.
Another thing to point out is that women are delaying childbirth until early-30s and beyond when it is naturally harder to get pregnant.

Well, if a woman is on birth control from the time she is first fertile till she reaches menopause then yes.
I believe that taking birth control for more than 10 years could make you infertile because of your hormone receptors being taken over by the synthetic hormones in the BC and not able to create the proper hormone combinations to support a pregnancy, but that's just college speaking.

This is absolutely not true!! I was on the pill for 3 years (ages 15-18), stopped taking it and was pregnant one month later. I continued w/ the pill until age 23. I stopped taking it in August b/c I wanted another, and was pregnant 2 weeks later!! I am 20 weeks now.

This really depends on the girl's body.
I started on the pill at 13 (for EXTREMELY painful periods), went off for 2 years when I was 20 (and NOT trying to get pregnant) and went back on from 22 until 35.
Went off the pill because we were going to start trying after a few months, but in 2 weeks I was pregnant.
So that's 7yrs+13yrs on the pill (Plus being told I only have one working ovary)!
Yes the longer you are on the pill the more it can affect your chances, But be prepared for life to surprise you !

No, this is not true. Some church leaders say it, because they believe birth control is against "God's plan," but it is a lie. Birth control will not make you infertile.
In fact, the average conception time after stopping the pill is only 6 months,

I have known two women who were unable to get pregnant after 8 years or more continuous on the pill. Switch to condoms and 2 applicators of foam .
