I prefer the Doors or the Mamas and the Papas. Some of the Velvet Underground and Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklyn, The Supremes, Ruth Brown, Etta James, Tina Turner, Howlin' Wolf, Billie Holiday, old blues and jazz. The Beatles were lame. Only old hippies like the Beatles.
The Rolling Stones, despite their lousy rhythm, courtesy of Ringo Starr or whoever it was, had a great front man in Mick Jagger. I love Keith Richards. The others were great as well. Cool, hip, modern, old, great lyrics, innovative, bluesy, rootsy, diverse. Precursor of Zeppelin, also a great and influential band with everything from Indian music and jazz to blues, old English folk, rock, metal, adult contemporary, country, reggae, calypso, grunge, pop, soul, ballads, Middle Eastern sounds, synth-pop, keyboard rock, new wave, and more.

If you're generalizing then you are pretty much stupid:
I say though, if you're talking about really caring about the song and not just thinking The Beatles are some cool rockstars that all the girls think are cute, then probably guys. But you can't use that against people...it's not their choice to be a male or female.

There is no way you can find out the answer to this question. How many generations of people have been listening to this band?
Both. That's my answer. Why are you trying to find an answer to this question, anyways?
