Because one time long ago, Best Buy didn't have the laptop I have. I went next door to CC and found the very same laptop at the very same price.

No they don't. They often have the same laptops, but at different prices. You can go to their sites and see that they have laptops with the same model number but at different prices and with different accessories, such as "free" printers and whatnot. FYI, the best place to buy your computer is at newegg.com. They have the lowest prices and the highest customer satisfaction ratings. just check out www.resellerratings.com and you'll see the nightmares people have had with circuit city and best buy, and that newegg.com has the highest customer satisfaction. I did a lot of research before I bought my computer in August, and I found out all of the differences between the CC and BB computers and the ones on Newegg.com and other sites. CC and BB and the other box stores generally use the cheapest parts and don't pass on the savings to unsuspecting consumers. I am shocked at what they sell and at what prices they sell it at. The average consumer doesn't even know it.

Yes and no, the brands that they have in common are competivily priced, and they will sell you a laptop at the same price as the other if they carry that exact one. Most chains no longer carry the same models because of this polocy.

No, and actually they are going to cost you a lot more than ordering it right from the manufacturers web site. The best prices will ALWAYS be online from the maker.

No, Circuit City is always more expensive. And the best place to get any computer is Costco.
