1. The first thing to do is to try to read as much math as
possible. You will have to figure out the level where you are
now. Don't try to jump ahead too fast.
2. Solve problems! If you are in a math class, solve extra
problems that they do not assign to you. If you are trying to
learn on your own, try to solve every problem in the book
(yeah, it sounds crazy, but it works).
3. Try to relate the math you are learning to your everyday life,
if you can. This will help make the subject more intereresting
to you.
4. When you study math, find a quiet place, get rid of the
distractions, and tune everything out.
5. Never, ever get discouraged. Math takes time, patience and
diligence. Hard work too. But genius is not required
Mathematics is the body of knowledge centered on concepts such as quantity, structure, space, and change, and also the academic discipline which studies them.
the above would be the Wikipedia definition of mathematics, which as you may see broadens mathematics in most every sense.
I may well be biased but I take mathematics to be more philosophical, with greater abstraction and the applications are wonderful but only upto the point when neccessity threatens to overrule curiosity.
Maths is the study of quantity, structure, space and change. It developed, through the use of abstraction and logical reasoning, from counting, calculation, measurement, and the study of the shapes and motions of
mathematics: a science (or group of related sciences) dealing with the logic of quantity and shape and arrangement
physical objects.

Technicly, I never study because most of the time I sit down and just use logic to figure them out, and yet I have a good grade in math.
The best thing to do is to simply review everything so you'll be confident when exam day comes, and work the rest out like I do - with logic.

WTH is combinatorics? Is that even a actual word? Sorry, yet to subject remember. What I do is wade by using each and all of the instruments and make assessment notes (use a lot of titles). go over those for somewhat, then do the prepare examination/end of unit attempt on your textbooks (those issues cover each thing).

Revise all the things that u had studied and while giving exam, first answer those questions that u know well and after that answer those questions in which u r doubtful.

Study, of course!
And once I felt confident, what I did is that I looked up some questions, and made little fictional tests based on questions I found on books related to the things I was studying at.
I used to ask my mom or friend to grade them for me, and whatever I messed up on I tired to work on again until I MASTERED it.

review notes. Go thru examples. And just do problems. Working over problems will help you. And refer back to notes or book, if you get stuck. This seem to work best for me.
