yOU CAN'T TELL SO SOON
it depends how early or late you are, at the end of pregnancy babies gain something like a pound or 11/2 each week.
This also depends on genetics and really by ultrasound the way docs measure babies is not reliable, they can't tell how long your baby is, it's curled up for cheese sake!

nicely the common toddler weighs about 10 oz.on the on the spot, yet i does not panic. there is a good number of growing to be time left, and besides some toddlers are smaller...and some are higher. My toddlers tend to be great, my first at beginning weighed 9lbs 2oz, my 2d 10lbs 11 oz. And my OB for this being pregnant expects yet another 10 lbs toddler. So, at 20 weeks in an ultrasound I easily have considered all my little ones vary length-wise. My smallest wasn't a lot higher than yours on the on the spot. Ultrasounds are in no way one hundred% on fetal weight. contained in the later ranges of being pregnant the envisioned weight varies by approx a pound both way. I had one performed in my very last being pregnant at 38 weeks. They instructed me then my son change into already envisioned at 8 lbs yet, they could be off by a pound both way. also, even as contained in the womb, toddlers do have improve spurts. Its achievable the lil one hasn't had a actual massive spurt yet. besides, if each little thing else looks accepted and healthful, I doubt there's a lot challenge. If the physician isn't irritating, neither ought to you be.

Ultrasounds are not very precise in telling the weight. I had an ultrasound hours before my son was born, they told me he weighed more than 8 pounds, 3 hours later when he was born he weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces.

I'm sorry, there's just no way to tell based on measurements at the halfway point. In fact, "guesstimates" even a few weeks before your due date can be way off - it's an imperfect science at best.
The average weight for a newborn is seven and a half pounds, although perfectly healthy newborns run the gamut between five and ten pounds.
Congrats on your baby!

As everyone has said its very hard to guess. I had a doctor appointment at 34 weeks and 5 days and it said 7lbs 5 oz already. 3 hours later my water broke and my daughter was born at 5lbs 6oz. And my husband was a 12lb baby when he was born and I was 8lbs 12oz. So honestly things are kinda hard to tell. Ya never know.

There is no way of telling, since there is so much more growth to occur. My daughter was larger than the doctor had anticipated. The last month the doctor could not believe how much she grew. She was growing and my wife was loosing weight even.
