If there's another one who should be in it, some how I think John Schnieder (Bo Duke) would be a good captain, and maybe a new Enterprise-F

The original series was...well..original!

I liked the episode where Scotty finds a cylon robot attacking a wookie, in engineering.

Yes! An Enterprise F. Good idea, Starbuck or Hans Solo could be the Captain.

The original is the best, and yes, there's another in the works, but just for theatres for now:

Paramount Pictures announced today that Lost creator J.J. Abrams will co-write, produce and direct the eleventh Star Trek film, set for release in 2008.

According to an article in the Daily Variety, the new film will be a prequel to the original Star Trek series, featuring younger versions of characters like James T. Kirk and Spock. The movie will chronicle events such as their first meeting at Starfleet Academy and their first mission into outer space.

The as-yet untitled new film will be written by Abrams together with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Abrams is the creator of television series such as Felicity, Alias and Lost, and will soon be making his debut as a feature film director with Paramount's Mission Impossible: III. He's also written the scripts for films such as Regarding Henry and Armageddon. Kurtzman and Orci cooperated with Abrams on the MI: III script, and were previously part of the Alias writing staff, as well as writing the scripts for films such as The Island and the upcoming Transformers movie.

Besides Abrams, the film's producing team will include Damon Lindelof and Bryan Burk, who both also produce Lost. The Variety article made no mention of the fate of Rick Berman, who has been heading the Trek franchise for the past two decades.

According to Variety, the decision to produce a new Trek film is part of an effort by new Paramount head Brad Grey to try and raise the profile of Paramount by producing several "high-profile tentpole" movie, and having them developed by some of the most talented people in Hollywood.

I like both TNG and Voyager the same, they're both great. As for any other ones, right now there aren't any plans for a new TV series, but Star Trek XI should be coming out summer of 2008.

Personally, I think the original "Star Trek" series was the best, because it was one of the first pioneers to explore outer space concepts in general. The stories and sets of the original TV series were way ahead of their time, and I liked "Mr Spock's" character the best. They say it is very hard to beat an original and in this case, I think it is true. With regards to "Star Trek" movies though, my pick is "First Contact", because it has a great story, fantastic sets and very good acting. I am not sure if there will be another series, but if there is, I will certainly be watching it !

I think The next generation has the potential.

Regreably and personally, there will be no great interest across the board of reviews of many movie companies that makes films, such as Warner Bros, Paramount, etc due to their rigid belief that Science Fiction does not make money and they feel it has no place in society.

Firefly, Serenity and of course Star Trek are good shows about science fiction.

Next Gen hands down! It was awesome, I miss it, I got attached to all the characters and I grew up on it. I hope there's another one, but only if that one is halfway decent unlike some of the later spinoffs.
The best movie in my humble opinion was First Contact. Creepy Borg, Zephrem Cochran and Data getting all emo....doesn't get much better than that!

I have a hard time choosing between TNG and DS9. I think that they should come out with another one (but not as cheesy as "The Enterprise" Or "Voyager".

I think it would be cool if they had the one that played "Nog" as Nog be a captain. It would show real growth on his character.

The original was the best because it delt with social issues yet was still entertaining. It was the first time that an interracial kiss was shown on tv. the other shows were good but not in the same league.

I think that the Origanal was the best. I have no idea if they are going to make another one.
