How people see you depends on how you see yourself. I don't know you so what I'm about to say might not refer to you. But take it into consideration. When you had a girlfriend you felt good about yourself, you were happy. Right! That energy was felt by the girls around you and it made you very attractive. Now that you don't have a girlfriend, you probably feel lonely or sad. That is a negative energy and people tend to shy away from any negative energies.

What I'd advise you to do is to be happy with yourself. Do what makes you the happiest. Make sure that you know that you don't need anyone to make you happy, that you are responsible for your own happiness. Soon you'll be sending off positive energies again, similar to those you had when you were happy with a girlfriend. Not long, you'll have those girls flirting with you again.

Good luck

1) People want what they can't have
2) Maybe they don't realize you're a lesbian when they see you by yourself, but it becomes more apparent to them when they see you with another girl.

Why don't you try going to the city centre with an open-minded attractive lady friend you aren't dating so that when you draw girls' attention you'll be available to take them up on it.

Girls (and guys) tend to be attracted to the "taken" girl/guy. It's kinda a thrill for them to go for something they can't have. When you're with your older sister people might mistake her for your girlfriend and thus hit on you. It's extremely common for this to happen.

It 's the murphy law. Maybe you appear more open and accepting when you are in a relationship.
