how do you do Solving Lienar sysytems by Substitution?
the teacher already taught us this, and i have notes but their confusing. He gives us all 100% on the homework if we do it and it dosen't matter if they are wrong or right. But then i always end up failing the tests.

240/x = 3/5 bypass multiply to get 1200 = 3x x = 400 400 is the kind of folk employed 5 yrs in the past. The question is "what number extra workers did it have then than it has now?" So, 400 - 240 = one hundred and sixty one hundred and sixty human beings is the answer :)

Linear equation follow a fix pattern, and have a basic law.

It is linear for if you plot it on chat, it follows a fix pattern of a straight line.

Normally it is (N)X + (N) = Y

By subsitution, you may bring one figure from the left to the right, and to insert any given figure into the unknown.

go to www.regentsprep.org and click (either Math A or Math B). i'm sure you'll find something there. That's where I study from, and I always manage to pass around the 70's!

First, convert your expression to be equivalent with any term. Then, subsitute the converted expression with the rest of the equation into the term you wanted to subsitute. From there, you can start simplifying.
