If you have enough to purchase it without going broke, go for it.
The only cons I've heard is that when people get too excited while playing it, they usually throw the control and ends up smashing something important. Stay away from windows and your mom's favorite vase while using it.

Depends. Take a look at the games it has out for it and see if any of them strike your fancy.
It also depends on what you like in a console.
It goes for $250 retail, which is a considerably good price and is a lot lower than 360 and PS3's price. So if money is a concern...
Also, as far as graphics, they're slightly better than gamecubes... in some games. However, in many they look like gamecube graphics.
Also, think about the Wiimote. Maybe try one first. They are wireless it pretty fun to use.
Also, the Virtual Console is a great feature where you can download a lot of old NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube games.
Also, you can create Mii's that you can use in some games, and you can add other people's Mii's to your friend list.
Also, Wii has "Channels" like a Forecast Channel, and they are releasing more as time goes on.
So consider those things, and maybe some things I didn't think of and see if it's right for you.

The wii is really cool. I am still trieng to get my hands on one but i know like everything about them and have played them a few times. The wii is like a whole new way of playing games. The graphics arent as good to the 360 and the ps3 but it is alot more fun to play. i have played both and personally i think the wii is way better then the ps3. the ps3 is overpriced and doesnt have any good games. i would suggest going with the wii if you want to have a new fun way to play games. =]

I have all the game systems the wii is definitely top notch Zelda just rocks plus Nintendo has the best first party games like Mario, donkey Kong, metro id and many more. It got me back into racing games caz steering is awsome with the controler. Another plus is if you like old school games you can download the classics for a few bucks and play them anytime now my kid enjoys the same games i played when i was a kid. This more than makes up for graphical advantage xbox and Sony has it's just a hole new way to play games.

I love it, I love the games (old and new)
pros: cheap, backwards compatible, I can play old games like super mario bros ect, wii sports is fun and interactive, I can play by myself problem solving games like zelda or with my honey, splinter cell. It is fun to play with friends, has cool features where I can make my own characters for wii sports, edit photos, buy games through console, check forecast, and soon can surf internet and get news. My birds like the noises it makes. Wireless controller can turn on/off console. You will get a workout with the boxing game!
Cons: When there is alot of action in call of duty 3, the remotes are not as responsive, sort of hard to buy a wii right now, graphics great, not ps3 or xbox amazing. For the older games you need the classic controller, and for gamecube games, you need that remote too, it is getting more expensive then the ps3 in that sense!
you should get one if you like to play older games, interact, and play games like mario party 8 coming out in march!
Enjoy!

it really depends on you.
-if graphics are a huge deal spend the extra 150 and get the 360.
-if old school games is your deal, such as zelda, mario, and nes games go with the wii.
-its all on prefrences, i just bought the 360 cause i like the graphics and playing madden normally, however you can turn the sensor off on the wii, but i do plan on getting the wii as soon as possible.
just get it and call it a day

PROS: well the wii has just come out so i would imagen it doesnt have quit a FULL selection of games but thats ok.. the games are still good... and it has motion sensing so the games are alot more fun to play
CONS: it doesnt have that many fighting games like the PS3 or PSP or PS2 or something... but if you like mario and zelda then yeah go for it.... but also the motion sensing can get annoying once and awhile because its a little bit harder then the contoller... but i gues thats ok
