I just recieved a violation because I answered someones question in a "hurtful" manner. The guys question was if he was hot or not and then went on and on about how wonderful, talented etc...he was. I answered by saying that nobody likes a concieted person and that he sounded like a jerk. So no, he was not hot. Was I being "hurtful" or are the administators here f#cked?

I agree with HAPPY'S answer, especially since he reported me a little over a week ago for insulting him when I answered by saying the question was stupid. I never said he was just his question.
reply to the violation by asking them to review his question and additional details and let them know you gave him an honest opinion as he asked and it was not your intent to hurt his feelings.
I always challenge the violations I recieve because of jerks.

Someone probably reported you and it could have been the asker. You can always challenge the decision, but they are just worthless points.

I do not think Y!A really looks into the abuse reports. If someone reports you, Y!A cites you for the violation as reported.
