It's probably not a good idea to use the electric razor with shaving cream. it will clog the heads and cutters and make it difficult to shave over a period of time.
I recommend that your husband try using an electric pre-shave lotion or better still, buy a pre-shave powder stick. The powder seems to work better, although you Will have to clean you razor more frequently.
If your husband still has shave burns, he might want to try using a different brand of electric shaver also. Sometimes switching to a different brand helps. The reason for this is the Norelco heads are rotary heads and spin at a high rate to cut the hair. If you try perhaps a Remington or Braun, they use a different method of cutting, so maybe that won't be too harsh on the face.
Experience: Same as your husband. Switched razors. Use pre-shave powder sticks.

Try Williams' Lectric Shave. No, I didnt spell it wrong. Remington also makes a talc stick that you rub onto your face prior to using the razor. The electric razors do cut closer than the disposibles, and they last longer, and they wont nick you as a regular razor would. for the time being tell your husband to use baby powder first. Sprinkle it in your lather brush and cover your face liberally, then dust off excess, before you shave. Then shave as normal. The difference is noticeable immediately, after you finish, was your face as normal and apply aftershave. Good luck!

You cannot use shaving lather or soap with an electric razor unless it's designed for that. I get razor burn all the time. I usually apply something like Mennen Afta after I shave. This seems to cut down on the irritation. Afta is not a perfume-y after-shave. It's available at drug stores and supermarkets.

For my usual shaving desires, I usw an electric. It would not get all that close however. For the flowery shave, I desire a competent disposable cartridge razor. i take advantage of the electrical powered because of the fact it incredibly is rapid and gets close sufficient for the every day shave. Plus it shapes the facial hair suitable. i take advantage of the disposable cartridge for a particular shave because of the fact i don't decrease myself and that i don't use them usual. A blade, as quickly as moist, is going uninteresting interior the air. The at as quickly as razor is fullyyt too lots artwork. the secure practices razor has a tendency to diminish or snag. The disposables are so affordable, i won't be able to get with the aid of a single shave with it sharp, And if i'm manscaping, i take advantage of the electrical powered because of the fact i like to leave it a sprint long.

There is a lotion that is called a pre-shave for electric razors. It makes your beard stand up for a close shave while protecting the skin. Never even use lather with a electric razor.

It is perfectly fine to use it with an electric razor however I would not recommend it. The lather could (in some cases) clog the blades and it would be more challenging to clean. If you have a good electric razor you should be able to use it directly on your face with no irritation. I would recommend using an aftershave lotion when using this technique.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOT PUT TOO MUCH PRESSURE WHILE SHAVING WITH AN ELECTRIC RAZOR. THERE ARE SOME RECHARGEABLE ELECTRIC RAZORS THAT CAN BE SAFELY USED WHILE BATHING. THE NORELCO IS NOT ONE OF THESE DUE TO THE ROTATING HEADS. THE SHAVERS I'M REFERRING TO HAVE VIBRATING HEADS AND ARE HERMETICALLY SEALED TO BE USED WHEN WET.
A SHAVER THAT IS PLUGGED IN SHOULD NEVER BE USED WITH ANY CREAM OR LATHER.
