I really want to go there and help kids that have lost their parents. It is one of my goals in life. I was adopted from a Russian orphanage.

You should try YWAM (Youth with a mission). You may also want to check with the Christian and Missionary Alliance because I know they are quite active there. I went to CBC (the Alliance Bible College in Canada) years ago and they talked a lot about missions in Russia. YWAM does a lot of short mission trips all over the world. I think that is a really great idea. My husband is from Moscow and we hope to adopt a child from Russia one day too.

Added:

Also look at OM, Operation Mobilization: http://www.om.org/ I can see they are running teen camps at any rate but you should email them and ask about orphanage ministries.

Also for YWAM it is www.ywam.org. They have similar programs to Russia.

If I find anything specifically to orphanages I will let you know but contact these groups anyway because they may know who does or have something in the works.

Added:

Here is another group that I haven't heard of but they seem to have some non-medical missions trips specific to orphanages but in really remote areas: www.agaperu.org

If you end up going could you please let my know because I am quite interested in this. Thank you.
