there was a really cute game on one of those sites that were mentioned before and this one was done for my baby shower, and i've done it for some that I have attended. it's the one where you have to answer questions about nursery rhymes. that one went over really well. and the one where you give everyone a pin or whatever and they cant' say a certain word, (ie baby, mommy, whatever is most likely to be said the most often)
there is a game that is cake riddles, (ie what is a monkey's favorite cake? Banana!)
as a door prize my fave is where you get a pretty basket and everyone fills out the envelope to thier thank you card with thier address put all the enevelopes in a basket, mix them up and have the soon to be mommy choose a couple for the door prize.
I liked the blank bingo cards that the guests take a couple mins to fill out what they think the new mommy is most likely to get as a gift and as the soon to be mommy is opening her gifts they try to get a bingo. (ie if she gets bottles the guest puts a mark in the square where she wrote bottles) it makes the opening of gifts less boring.
I as a guest of honor (the mommy) forbade any of the mesureing games. I didn't like people touching me or my tummy.....but that was my opinion. and make sure there are extra gifts for ties. you can always give out more then one with bingo or have runner up prizes.

Can make up one of those word search things with baby words in it like bottle, diaper, cradle, crib,, etc. Everyone starts at same time and has a set amount of time to find them all (have at least 20 -25 in there) . Let's say 3-5 minutes (you decide). and you have an answer sheet. Whoever finds the most wins a prize.
Get at a party store some little TINY baby bottles. (about 1/2 to 1 inch long) and freeze them inside an ice cube. (1 for each guest attending and maybe an extra 1 or 2 for unexpected guests)...Put them in a dixie cup sorta at the beginning of the party and hand one to everyone. Whoever's bottle thaws out first (bottle must be able to be taken out of ice completely and displayed) is the winner. This may take up to half hr. unless they cradle it or help it melt somehow. so you want to probably do this first and play the rest of the games while it's melting.
You can compile a list of things(favorites) of the mommy and guests must fill in the blanks as to what her favorites are. One who gets most wins.
Some examples would be: Favorite color, food, drink, song, movie, baby name for a boy, name for a girl, favorite blouse, favorite soup, group, movie star..male and female, ice cream, etc......This would be titled "How well do you know the mommy"
HINT**
I would buy a few more prizes in case of a tie or you may run out before the end of the games because there is NO way to guarantee only one winner per game either. Can use things like candles, etc. from a dollar store to cut expenses.

Here is my favorite baby shower game: First to Deliver - My Water Broke! -This is the most hilarious of baby shower games. Buy some small plastic babies that are tiny enough to fit in an ice cube tray. Put the babies in the tray and cover with juice or soda to freeze the babies into the ice cubes. The babies will float so you might have to freeze them in layers. Pour a small amount of liquid in the tray, let it freeze, and then fill the tray to the top to make a full size ice cube. The baby will then be secure inside of the frozen cube. Rules: When all of the guests have arrived, give them each a glass of punch with one ice cube baby in the glass. The first person who “gives birth” (ice cube melts and baby pops out) gets a prize. See the link below for more game ideas.

I have thrown a number of baby showers so here are a few games, maybe you already have some on your list.
Guess the baby food flavor- remove the label on the jars and number them on top. Make sure you know it first. then allow the guests to guess what flavor just by looking at the color and texture.
In a small bowl mix rice and safety pins (small) then allow each guest to get a handful of rice. the one with the most pins counted in one handful wins.
blindfold the players and have them hold a tray on their heads, put cotton balls on a coffee table and give three tries to scoop as many cotton balls onto the tray on their head. the one with the most wins.
Give each player a pin or a necklace as they enter the party and explain to them that they are not allowed to cross any part of their body or else another player who sees them may take the pin/necklace away. The one player with the most at a scheduled time wins the prize.
This game is unisex. I have thrown some unisez parties and this is a favorite of the females. in a laundry basket put some baby clothes and clothespins. hang a temporary clothesline. give the player a baby to hold in one hand and a telephone in the other and give them one minute to hang up as many garments as possible. you can change the time as you like.
Hang up a clothes line and put clothespins on it. Give each player a turn at picking off as many clothespins as possible with one hand and without dropping any clothespins. The most unpinned with just one hand wins.
Have four or five 4 oz. baby bottles and fill with water. Select the players and see you can drink the fastest out of the baby bottle. Whoever finishes first.
Scramble sheet. Scramble about 10-15 baby items on a sheet and allow 1 minute for the guests to unscramble them. The one with the most wins.
Guess the baby name.

Here are some ideas.....
How many diapers in the diaper cake.....(Diaper Cakes make great centerpieces on the gift table....BETTER than flowers!! They can double as the gift to mom, too!!)
"Name That Tune". Play the first fifteen seconds of ten (or so) lullabyes....whoever gets the most right wins!! (Target sells instramental lullabye CDs for around $10.00. This could double as another gift for the mommy-to-be!!)
"Blindfolded Diaper Change". Participants are blindfolded and have to change baby's diaper.....including powder!!! Whoever does the quickest and most efficient job wins!!!
"Water Breaks". Freeze little plastic babies into icecubes (you can get these at Michael's or any party supply store). Whoever's "water" breaks first wins!! (Water breaks....the baby comes free of the icecube and floats to the top of their glass!!)
Good luck and Have Fun!!

at my shower we played the name game...everyone used my name and my hubby's to make as many baby names as they could
there is the dirty diaper game...you make little diapers out of napkins and put mustard in one, whoever gets it wins a prize.
you can make a ribbon braclet or whatever goes with your theme, and make an banned word like "cute" or "baby" and whoever catches somone saying it takes their braclet, the person with the most at the end wins
they also did the guess the belly thing (which was not my fav! LOL) they passed out ribbon and had everyone cut off a length..whoever was closets to my tummy size won a prize
hope that helps :)
you can also find books of games at party stores

My own twist of Hot Potato
Pick a small gift, wrap it inside a small box..make sure it isn't breakable.
You can do it to several different sizes of boxes and play hot potato with it... Its funny to see them try harder for the bigger box than the smaller one.
You can make them gift cards to reduce breakage
Then who ever wins gets to open the box and keep the gift inside

one very popular game is to buy diapers and chocolate
you melt the different chocolates into the diapers to resemble "poo"
and the guests are to taste each diaper and guess which chocolate it was! (twix, snickers, kit kat etc..)
here is a website with a lost of many quick and easy games, good luck and congrats!

Here's a really cute one. Get a roll of toilet paper. Ask each guest to unravel as much toilet paper as they think will fit around the mother-to-be's belly. Whoever gets the "tissue diameter" closest wins.
