To the person above me: It's corporal punishment, not corporeal punishment. Corporal is a different word altogether. The definition listed in the question is correct. It does mean "of the body" but it should be noted that the word "corporeal" is essentially the opposite of the word "ethereal" which basically means spiritual, heavenly, intangible etc., so it is most often used with reference to the spiritual world versus the natural world. So a good example of a sentence would be: "Many religious people believe that our corporeal existence is unimportant in comparison to our ultimate spiritual existence" Cheers!
