What i would do first is brainstorm. Then type it out.

That's how you can write your essay. You can also try it with a pen or pencil!

I think your real question is, “how do I write why I want to do something like this in just 300 words?” First I would suggest writing why you want to do this and what makes you stand out from others in however many words you need. Get everything out there first before you start cutting it down and making suggestions. Then go to teachers/ professors you trust. If you’re in college go to the study abroad office and career center to have them look over your essay and possibly have them get you in contact with people who have been there. I know you can get in contact with people from certain countries or people who speak different languages through an organization called Tandem. Furthermore, if you have not already started learning Italian and about Italy go to library and get out language tapes and travel books- use Interlibrary loan if you have to. Knowledge is your best armor. You want to prove to these people that you have the knowledge, the passion and appreciation for this culture, the maturity, and the ability to take what you learn and contribute good things and of course spread the word about your experience through this program. You want to let them know that you are clear about your goals and that you have a lot to offer. It is like getting a job or a grant and it might help if you read some books on those subjects. Here are some books that I think are great “Guerilla marketing for job hunters,” by Jay Conrad Levinson and David E. Perry and How to write a grant proposal,” by James Aaron Quick. If you don’t read the whole thing at least read the examples. You have to learn how to market yourself and answer questions succinctly.

This is what I wrote when I was applying to a Study Abroad program. Hope it helps you. And please refrain yourself from plagairism.

I want to study abroad to increase my understanding of others, and to learn more about myself. To place myself outside of my comfort zone I will force myself to learn. To be uncomfortable in a place you know nothing about and where you don’t have friends yet is a situation where you are forced to act outside of your normal behaviors. To do this is to learn about new dimensions in life that you probably have never considered before.
I'm very excited for this new challenge and I want this to be the best experience of my life. I believe it will be extremely beneficial to my business career to know the ins and outs of more than just my own culture! A scholarship will help me so greatly with my education. I’ve spent a bit of time studying Italian already and looking at the concept of communication from a different point of view (a really different point of view) puts an exciting spin on things. I really want to explore this dimension of life more seriously now that’s it has been revealed to me in such an inspiring way.
I believe that by studying abroad I'll be not only helping myself, but helping a lot of other people as well. The experience that I hope to gain cannot be measured by any means we have available today, but that experience can be shared. I will work very hard to learn all I can while studying in Europe. My future will depend heavily on the skills I will develop there. I'm sure I'll find some very un-expected applications of my skills down the road as well!

Start at the beginning, go through the middle and stop when you come to the end.

How would I know why you wish to study abroad...if you do not know then why go?

What kind of subjects will you be studying? How will you be able to study them better abroad?

Tell them about yourself a little, make an impression.

you would possibly want to commence with the way you do not could experience responsible for being a fallable human being. you would possibly want to write about how loose you experience to no longer have a vengeful god overhead who watches you want a voyeur and needs to deliver you to hell for the tiniest infraction. very few starters.

Well, why do you want to study abroad? If you don't have any reasons, you shouldn't apply.

I don't know how you could when you still need to work on words and spelling.
