I start school next week, but I have this entire week of free time. I've been reading a lot and watching movies. Is there anything productive that I can do? I really need to keep my mind busy, because i just got my heart broken and I'm a little depressed.

LOL, yes I've been answering a lot of questions on here, but is that a productive thing to do? It's nice when I feel that I've actually helped someone with their problem.

go thru your closet and make a pile of good clothes that you no longer wear. At the same time organize your closet. Give away the clothes you gathered to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, or one of those drop boxes.

Definitely volunteer somewhere if you can. Volunteer to make meals for the homeless, teach kids how to read through HOST. I did that while in the Corps at A&M and it was a great feeling. Spending time on the computer gets old really quick...
You can also make a list of neat, productive things you have never done before and do them. Take some friends! Have a blast!

Just be happy to have the time off... When your totally busy dont u wish for days off ? Do things that you normally cant do or get those little things done that you never find the time to do. Dont be depressed... enjoy your time off it will go quick :)

Community service is a great place to start. There are a lor of community center that offer programs that you can get into. check you local Park and Recreation Dept for some great ideas.
