This team does not come to play every night it is obvious that this team will not do well in the playoffs. If the goal of this team is to win a championship then a championship team should be built. Rasheed and Chauncey are satisfied with the championship that they have won. AND THE TEAM DOES NOT LISTEN TO FILP BECAUSE FLIP HAS NOT WON BEFORE AND IS NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP COACH. It is important to rebuild now so that Detroit does not waste its time.

Ok. For those of you who have been living under a rock or have not been watching basketball, the Pistons are in more trouble than most think. In order to win an NBA championship it takes hunger, intelligent decisions, and great leadership. Besides Maxiell, Prince, and Hamilton, who has these qualities? TWO of the starters and the head coach are devoid of these qualities that is a losing formula. Also do not let the Eastern Conference fool you there is not that much difference between the conferences and both posses some pretty bad basketball. The West is HORRIBLE at defense and of course the East is HORRIBLE offensively. Because of this the Pistons are in trouble. This team should start by eliminating poor leadership, Saunders, complacency, Billups and Wallace, and incompetency, Billups and Wallace and Saunders.

Yeah, I hear you. Bill Davidson, the owner of the Pistons, is a pretty strict guy. I thought Rick Carlisle was great but from what I hear, Davidson did not care for him because he was a bit of an introvert and did not articulate much. When Larry Brown came on board, he coached well and the Pistons did win a title. When Brown even picked up the phone when offers came in, Davidson had the cross-hairs on him. In the end, given the edicts Dumars had to work with, Flip might have been the best available. Is he a good coach? Maybe for an X n O's basis. Can he bring together and motivate and group of very different personalities like Chuck Daily did? No!

The Pistons still have the talent. I am just not sure they can find a better coaching product yet. When they do, Saunders will be gone. You can be sure of that.

Even if they're not as good as before the Pistons are still a pretty darn tough team. In fact in my opinion they are the only team in the East who can without a doubt reach the finals. All the other teams are maybes and if they're luckys but Detroit is a good bet day in day out. It's even better for them that they are in the weak eastern conference. I'm ok with getting rid of Flip and Rasheed but not Billups. Billups is a great point guard who they need. He hits big shots and is a superb free throw shooter and floor leader. And it's not so bad, they have a young guy to build on in Jason Maxiell

Because I think those players are proven winners and veterans but not maximum-salary type players (that's why they let Ben Wallace walked away). So, it's a bargain for Joe Dumars.

Even if they didn't win The Championship, I think at least they will won the Eastern Conference or maybe become the Eastern Conference finalist.
