YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unless you have a permit to carry a weapon concealed you are committing a crime. in some states it is actually a felony to transport an unlicensed firearm in a vehicle. you may transport a rifle, shotgun, or muzzleloader during hunting season, unloaded, to the area of hunting. that is contigent on what weapon is allowed in that state and at that time for hunting. you cannot transport a handgun anywhere without a permit. you must have a carriers permit to take it anywhere other than to the range and back. it must be unloaded. and you must keep it away from your person in a proper carrieing case. glove box is legally considered concealing the weapon. get a carriers permit and simply transport it in a holster. you can put it right on the seat of your car in plain sight that way.

Regardless of what many of these armchair lawyers have told you, this is an issue that varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction... it has nothing to do with concealed carry. Concealed carry only applies when the weapon is carried on your person, not locked in the glove box, loaded or empty. The best advice is to check with your local law enforcement and ask them if it is legal in your area to lock a loaded weapon in the glove box.

Pointing a rifle like your human beings boyfriend did is illegitimate and he's making an attempt to get shot lifeless by applying armed police if he keeps that up. the factor is the police are not strategies-readers and that they don't have computing gadget's that examine with the aid of each-one minds or have as much as date status' approximately their subjects. So in the experience that your human beings boyfriend had the assumption to easily scare them off and an officer opened hearth and killed him then you definately quite won't be able to blame him/her via fact they have been in basic terms doing what they have been taught interior the Academy. yet while your human beings boyfriend gets arrested he would be watching: possession of an unlawful hearth-arm. Threatening to injure limb/citizen. and that i additionally strongly propose you come across new buddies via fact they do no longer sound like a sturdy bunch at-all.

I believe in most states it is, you cant keep a gun and ammo in the same box much less loaded... in ohio the gun and ammo have to be in seperate containers and I believe the gun has to have a lock.

The gun can be in your glove box ONLY IF you have a concealed weapon permit, otherwise it has to be in plain sight, the ammo has to be in the trunk or otherwise inaccessible.

Yes! It is a concealed weapon. It is not against the law if you have in plain sight, such as on the passenger seat.
