I'm 31 weeks pregnant and sometimes it feels really extremely uncomfortable in my vagina from the inside out. Is this the baby's head "dropping"? It's feels like a lot of twisting and turning or something....i'm completely clueless.

as baby gets bigger and has less room to move-it puts a lot of pressure on your pelvic region-including vagina and rectum.
as you get closer to the end of your pregnancy--you will feel the pains a lot more.
when baby drops your entire pelvic region feels a ton of pressure.
you can *kind of* tell if baby has dropped by looking sideways in a mirror--the bottom part of your belly sticks WAY out.

It could be the baby turning into the birth canal. If you feel like the baby is balling up and/or a downward pull on your stomach in addition to the discomfort, this is probably the case. You also must realize how much pressure and strain the baby is causing on your body in general. Your big day is near!

If you are really worried, discuss it with your doctor. With my second child he carried really low and I felt a lot of pelvic pressure. I guess that maybe you are carrying low and I have read that when that happens you can sometimes feel the baby turning his head.

it's probably the cervix softening or expanding. could also be the pressure of the baby on your pelvic bone.

I am not sure exactly, but it probably does have to do with the baby. You might want to ask your doctor to be sure.
