I always see people like Gwen Stefani, and many, many, other women who have on eyeliner but it always looks so neat.
Whenever I wear it I end up looking like a hooker, (yikes!) does anyone have any tips so that I can wear eyeliner with out looking like a hooker?
Also doesn't color count? I have very fair skin, dark hair and green eyes, thanks!

white eyliner is fantastic for your complection and is a great way to make eyes "pop". using a white eyliner pencil gently dot it as close to the bottom lashes (in between each individual lash) then carefully in feathery strokes do your top lid. (this will work with any colour eyeliner) brown would also look great on you as it is a more natural alternative to blakc which can look extremly hookerish lol... good luck :)xx

Well, based on your description you must be very beautiful and probably don`t need eyeliner but here are a few tips that may help. A lighter brown would be better than black, but black is still possible. Apply a thin line on the top eyelid just above or even touching the eye lash and then apply an even thinner line on the bottom eye lash.

Now if you still think you look bad then apply an eye shadow that is just a bit lighter then your skin along the two lines, but not to where it would smear. This should make the lines appear to be smaller and also make them stand out!

Based on what you have described, YOU SEEK A LIQUID LOOK. Go to walgreens or wherever else they sell prestige cosmetics. (they are awesome). Ok, this first set of instructions you should only use until you are used to applying liquid:

-Obtain several Qtips. wet them with eye makeup remover, or just plain ol water will do. These will come in handy when you mess up, which is inevitable until you get the hang of it.

-Use the opposite hand from the one that will be applying. put it on the side of your eye next to your temple. pull out toward the temple so that your eye is shut and you have great access to your lashline. (omit this part once you become used to applying eyeliner)

-Apply the line right at the lashline. there should be no space between the lashline and your eyeliner.

-It is your choice how bold of a look you want to rock. you can make the line extend further if you wish, or you can make the line thicker. BUT TO LOOK NEAT, make the line thin...but not too thin...and don't extend the liner all the way around the insides of your eyes.

REMEMBER: PRESTIGE COSMETICS liquid eyeliner. I would suggest their bronze (legend), but you could also try green or brown. I have blue eyes and use the blue; it creates a cool effect.
Good luck! Email me if you need more help!

Use a soft pencil in grey or brown. Apply it directly on the lash line-- not inside, not outside. Actually go on top of the hairs. Once you get the hang of it, you can wear it else where, this is just a good way to start. Also avoid wearing it on top and bottom at the same time untill you figure out what is right for you. Also blend with shadow that will take away from how much it stands out on its own. And ALWAYS use mascara! It's the most important finishing touch that brings it all together.

i also have fair skin, green eyes, and curly dark brwn hair...i use an eyeliner (i think cover girl) at walmart..usually bottom shelf..the color is mink vision. it has a little swab on the other end. it's a dark brown, goes on smooth. avoid black or any liquid eyeliner..very out of style! just do a light line along the top lashes, and barely any along bottom lashes..do not go all the way across to the inner eye..you'll be a racoon! :) also a tip i got from tyra show..use a white eyelines inside the lower lash..it opens the eyes up more. looks less gothy..more angelic

Try using a thin flat make-up brush, dip it in water, and then into your eyeshadow. It's an easy eye liner, and easily can be blended if it comes out too dark. Run a thin line on the upper lid, and then about a quater of the way under the lower lashes. (Keep in mind that totally outlining your eyes will make them look smaller) Then, with a dry brush, go over the line to blend it a little. Just a note, if you have never tried liquid liner, or the water dipped shadow, it feels really weird on your eyes, and will smudge if you blink too much before it dries.

You probably only THINK you look like a hooker because youre not used to seeing yourself like that. Also remember that Gewn and other celebs have professional makeup artists doing their makeup, and that although they look great in pics, they are airbrushed to perfection.

You could try a brown eyeliner for a more subtle look.

If you want to go for a dramatic, eye popping look, a secret is to use darker on top and lighter on bottom, and never go to the inside of the lashes when applying botton liner (go for the outer 3/4). I prefer black liquid liner on top and a dark brown crayon liner smudged on the bottom. It makes my brown eyes look large and golden. With green eyes and dark hair you have lots of colors you can work with. It takes practice, but youll get it.

if you have big eyelids, make your eyeliner thick, if you have small eyelids, make it medium sized.

try using the feltip eyeliners (theyre just like sketch pens), they last long, look good. it gives the same look as liquid eyeliner except that liquid eyeliner is more difficult to apply cuz of the brush. pencil eyeliners are fine but they do smudge at time.

so go in for feltip ones and dry quick.

keep you hand steady while applying it, takes time to get it rite, first i used to take a lot of time, now i can apply on a moving vehicle, practice makes perfect!

brown wud be a good choice for u.. and even black wud look good, along with tht try blue eyeshadow.. not too dark though!

good luck

I think black looks good on everyone, my color is white eyeliner.

Waterproof is always a good bet, it doesn't smudge or smear.

And don't apply it too heavy or u will look hookerish.

Whats fun about makeup is experimenting with it, try all colors and see what works best.Try this on the weekends when you have more free time.

Tip: carry a disposable cosmetic wedge in your purse to wipe away smudges under the eye.

You could try using a slanted/angled brush for your top lashline, to apply a thin stroke of product. A flat definer brush is useful for your bottom lashline, dip the brush in a little product (shadow or liner wet or dry) & gently push the product under your bottom lashes keeping close to the lashline. You could use any color, but reds & oranges may not be flattering. Cool purple hues really make green eyes pop.
