My wife and I took ecstasy the other night at a friends house. We do have a 8 month old baby, but we left him with the in laws for a night so we could have a night out. Anyways, this was our first time with X, and then the next night we smoked Salvia, which is legal. now, my wife is going to the hospital because she cant hold any food down and she feels sick. I personally do not think it is because of the x or the salvia, I think it is because she has not eaten anything in like 3 days, except like 6 cookies and an apple. I know this sounds bad, but we have food, lots of it, we are just both too lazy to cook it, so we snack in stead or order out. but she did not join in on the last two order outs, because she did not feel like eating. SOOOOOO She is going to inform the doctor that she did take ecstasy and salvia and that she has not eaten so the doctor knows every fact. I am worried that because we have a baby the doctor will inform the law. Is this a valid worry.

I would like to thank you who gave an answer. First of all, to all of you who came down on us for using the drugs, you can bite my ***. We decided as adults that we were not endangering our family what so ever. My wife just got back from the hospital and the doctor told her that she was dehydrated (possibly from the x, but in his words "dehydration from x is as common as from alcohol" and other then that neither drug made her sick. And the thing about not cooking, thats just a given with us, not due to drugs, we have never been in the mood for cooking. The baby is fed by bottle and he is always fed and changed. Any body who has never tried drugs has no right to pass judgement. My family is fine, and you know what, we will do X again. thanks for all the help.

No you will not be reported. People go to the doctors for help with this and it is common. She needs help --to get better from whatever caused this whether or not it was the drug. So don't worry. You will be fine going to see the doctor.

I'm not sure about the law in Cali, but make sure she isn't pregnant when she goes to the hospital! If she is they can arrest her. My sis in law did use X and some coke one night she didn't know she was pregnant! Well, she apparently did too much! She ended up in the emergancy room unconcious she had lost the baby and the state of FL did run a drug test on her and found her positive for drug use and they charged her with murdering her own child! I'm not trying to scare you but she is still going to court over this matter! Good luck! I hope that the laws are more flexible over there!

When you two got to the cross roads - you definitely took the wrong path.

Listen to yourself - you've taken drugs for two days straight, you haven't eaten because "you're too lazy to cook" and now you end up in the hospital?
What the hell did you expect this lifestyle would result in - a better state of health?
Straighten out, guys, and give a thought or two about your 8 month old baby's future.

If you invoke doctor patient confidentiality, it is respected for minor offenses, (misdemeanors) however for major offenses, the Doctors are required to inform the authorities. Go to findlaw.com's legal professionals site and go to the CA state code and look in there. I would look at doctor patient confidentiality laws.

Your odds are about 50/50 I would say. Call a lawyer or the police department for more information and local laws, and for crying out loud, pose it as a hypothetical. Even better, have a friend call for you.

sorry i don't have a link for you. I have taken X too just once and had a similar reaction to your wife. She needs to drink lot's of water. As far as I know , it's only illegal to have the drugs not to do them. But if the doc thinks your child is in danger (i don't by the way) he/she might notify someone. Try to take the baby to a sitter while you take her to the hospital. And go with the don't ask don't tell policy... if they don't ask if your parents, don't tell them.

If you are in possession or under the influence when you go in, the hospital is required to notify the authorities and you can be arrested and charged as soon as you are fit enough to leave the facility.

you are taking the chance that if you inform the doc, you will get tested for it, and they will call the police.

that is what typically happens in my state. Just depends on the local laws, and the doctor.

the doctor's probably not going to turn you in, but you have to them them.

also, salvia is legal as incense, not as a drug...so don't smoke it where you'll get caught.
