people do all sorts of things when they are afraid of pain. when my mother died i did something very similar to that. it took me a long time to really allow my myself to feel anything. but when i did...the pain was like a gift. because then i could start dealing with it and then start healing.
so dont be scared of the pain, or the good feelings either. its part of whats makes you alive and strong.

I felt like that until I was 46. I had 22 years of therapy. Then, one day all my 46 years of non-feeling started arriving. Just one excruciating pain, flinch, at a time. It lasted for 48 hours. I then laughed and cried, rolling around on the floor for a couple of months, then became, slowly, a happy, healthy person. Changed towns, SanFrancisco to a little town in the woods, changed careers, hell, changed lives. I suggest that doing it sooner is better. THerapy, counseling, talking to an older wiser person about your true, has to be true, feelings will help you realize that we are all just human beings, some of us feel the need to wear heavier masks. When we are able to lose the mask, we are fully human and can start helping others take off their masks.

Get worried in sporting events, walking within the park is helping me. Or write down all of your emotions on a paper and rip it up or throw it within the hearth as should you have been throwing away the entire dangerous emotions ago. Hope this used to be handy.
