No, all anyone needs to do is go with the vegas odds. Do you know why Vegas is so rich? Because they are damn good and make the correct picks year after year. Sports gambling is a multibillion dollar business, so you have to know your stuff.

I was 144-96 this year which beat this guy, but I had a poor year. Last year I was 157-83. I study the teams before the season starts and make predictions. They I study them week to week, looking at stats and figuring out who I think will win. I also look at Vegas odds, but they have not been as good a predictor this year as in past years. A couple of weeks, Vegas took a real beating. You can play with the "experts" on HBO by going to their sports website (below). I've done it for a couple of years, and this year I am beating them all. But some people have phenomenal luck and have really high scores. Check it out. It's fun and it's free.

No. These guys pick roughly 50-60% of games correctly. At those odds I would never bet on a game with what they say. If this guy guessed nearly 80% of the games. Then I would give him all the credit he deserves. I personally believe yourself could do the same if not better. We all could in fact.

Their record at predicting is only slightly better than picking randomly, which I think many of them do anyway.
